»Arizona. The most diverse state in the USA«
Today it's going to be a little more touristy. So to speak.
I'm in the mood for it because I'm more aware of the beauty in these days, when I'm out and about a lot.
Arizona is so diverse, this place has so much to offer, depending on what you are interested in. The geography is unique, with different climates. So is the weather - from the blistering heat in the summer here in Phoenix, you're in pleasant regions in barely two hours, like Flagstaff for example.
The culture, the food ... I've grown to love Mexican food!
The sunrises and sunsets are amazing. I've been to 17 countries by bike in the last few years. The sunsets in the southeast are waiting nice, even better in Estonia and Finland, even more so in Sweden.
But here - these are the most beautiful I've ever seen. And pretty much every evening.
Also, I love that we drive a few hours by car and visit several completely different landscapes within that time. We've been on the road a lot this year, traveling through eight states, some completely, some briefly of course - nowhere did I notice the natural changes in the landscape like I did in AZ.
I think the ideal way to enjoy this state is to spend a good amount of time here from October through May, travel around a lot.
And my favorite part: that I'm still wearing shorts and t-shirts these days, jump into the pool from time to time - while remembering the upcoming gray, dark, wet, cold winter in my home region - lousy weather.
It's my first fall here and I love the weather every day!
On top of that comes the attitude and mentality of the people here.
But more about that in another blog.
