»Egal, was Du machst - draußen ist es schöner«
Menschen fühlen sich im Freien und in der Natur viel wohler, auch wenn wir uns an die Annehmlichkeiten unserer Häuser und Büros gewöhnt haben. In der freien Natur können wir uns frei bewegen, die Brise in unseren Haaren spüren, den Boden und alle natürlichen Düfte riechen.
Bevor ich nach Amerika ging, hatte ich mit Landschaftsfotografie nicht viel zu tun. Also, ich habe schon fotografiert, wenn ich unterwegs oder auf Reisen gewesen bin, jedoch nicht so gezielt und bewusst wie nun.
Ich kann dir auch nicht sagen, ob ich nunmehr ein versierter Landschaftsfotograf bin, ich vergleiche das mit einem Glas Wein. Ich bin kein Weinkenner, ich trinke den Wein, weil er mir schmeckt, oder lasse das Glas stehen.
Durch unsere Reisen habe ich das große Glück, unglaublich viel zu sehen. Selbst wenn wir nur für ein verlängertes Wochenende nach New Mexico fahren, sind das hin und zurück über 1.000 km. Und entsprechend bekommst du natürlich Landschaften um die Ohren geworfen. Nicht nur um die Ohren, auch vor die Augen.
Dahingehend, und weil immer mehr Aufnahmen zustande kommen, entdecke ich auch zusehends meinen bevorzugten Stil. Mir schrieb eine Frau vor ein paar Wochen, dass sich meine Entwicklung in dieser Zeit auch anpassen wird, was meine Fotografie betrifft, um somit meinen Look und meinen Stil zu finden. Und das findet jetzt statt, ich habe es insbesondere auf unserer letzten Reise gemerkt.
Ich brauche Kontraste, satte Farben und auch gerne ein wenig dunklere Licht. Sozusagen. Einfach, weil ich die Landschaft gerne genauso, etwas mystisch erscheinen lassen möchte.
Ich freue mich ungemein auf die nächste große Reise.

Humans feel much more comfortable outdoors and surrounded by nature, even though we have become accustomed to the comforts of our homes and offices. While in the outdoors we can roam free, feel the breeze in our hair, smell the ground and all natural fragrances.
Before I went to America, I didn't have much to do with landscape photography. Well, I did take photos when I was out or traveling, but not as purposefully and consciously as I do now.
I can't tell you whether I'm an accomplished landscape photographer now, I want to compare it to a glass of wine. I'm not a wine connoisseur, I drink the wine because I like it, or I leave the glass.
Through our travels, I have the great good fortune to see an incredible amount. Even if we only go to New Mexico for a long weekend, that's over 1,000 km there and back. And of course you get landscapes thrown around your ears. Not just around your ears, but also in front of your eyes.
In this respect, and because I'm taking more and more pictures on the road, I'm also increasingly discovering my preferred style. A woman wrote to me a few weeks ago that my development will also adapt during this time in terms of my photography in order to find my look and my style. And that is happening now, I noticed it especially on our last trip.
I need contrasts, rich colors and also like a little darker light. So to speak. Simply because I want to make the landscape look … a little mystical.
I'm really looking forward to the next upcoming trip.
