»America - True Love in many Facets«

Of course Phoenix is great. Especially the people in this area make this place so precious to me, as if I have actually found my new home there.

However, Phoenix is just one of those places - America offers a diversity that you might not find anywhere else within one country. Logically, when you consider how big some states are alone. During the last three months I have traveled through six states. Definitely the impressions of the northern (partly also the midwest), especially Idaho, Utah and Montana have stuck in my mind.

My relation to nature has changed fundamentally during the last years anyway. Of course, I pictured images in advance, got ideas in my head. But this distance, this vastness of the landscape, this space, so to speak ... has exceeded all my expectations by far. What you get to see here is mighty impressive.

And: if you plan a road trip through the west of the USA, one thing definitely belongs in the planning: the visit of one or more of the greatest national parks.

In between the small, partly half abandoned towns, because many younger people go to the urban centers on the west or east coast, primarily LA or New York. There, a very special atmosphere is offered once again, felt to me as if this was real America, as one imagines it, knows it from documentaries or movies (away from the Hollywood kitsch). Unfortunately, I have made as good as no photos, because we always drove through - this is on my list for spring 2023.

All of these are just my impressions, of course, for now. I'll be traveling around the country more during the next few months. However, I have already felt here in the west that this area has captivated me.

And besides the landscape, it is also here, similar to Phoenix, the mentality of the people. The empathy and throughout a very pleasant serenity, give the whole thing again a special flair. More about this in one of the next articles.
