»Classics, Chrome & Coors Light«

I love these late Saturday afternoons, these early evenings in the beautiful light at the parking lot at Bell Road and 67th. Not only because of the gorgeous cars, but also because of the owners, these really cool guys.

A few months ago I went around asking if I could photograph this car or that car and got astonished looks. "Yeah sure, absolutely." … “Why not, go for it."

Meanwhile I walk around and hear from here and there "Hey Andy, how are you doing today?“

If it’s Gary, a Vietnam Veteran, or Tom, who's the same age as me and drives that fabulous GTO. Or Cody, who runs a tattoo studio and doesn't even know which of his Mustangs to come here with on the weekend. Kinda family a fair, I really appreciate.

I think this is more like a meet & greet of friends, of several 100 very cool people - everything just fits on this parking. From the atmosphere to the rarities - which you might not see anywhere else this often in this quantity, in such fantastic conditions.

That's also a huge advantage over here in Phoenix - that cars simply don't rust during a year with only a few days of rain and the low humidity.

"Soon I'll be here with my own. But until then - see you next week, guys.”
